1. Employees of Central / State Government / Aided Institutions / Publicly Owned Institutions are not eligible to apply and undergo training under the said program.
2. Eligible candidates should download the application form published at https://bcwd.karnataka.gov.in and fill the application in the prescribed format and submit it along with necessary documents. Applications not in the prescribed format and incomplete applications will be rejected.
3. Candidates are eligible to undergo such training provided by this department only once.
4. The candidate should be a permanent resident of the State of Karnataka and belong to the Backward Classes Power-1, 2(A), 3(A), or 3(B) of the State.

Qualification for army-free training
Candidate must have passed 10th standard with a minimum of 33 marks in each subject. If there is a grading system, the same grade should be obtained as above.

Locations of Training:
Training will be provided only in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts.
Candidates should select any one of the above Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts for training only and may submit their filled applications along with necessary documents to the office of the Backward Classes Welfare Officer of the same district in person or by registered post by Date: 30.07.2022. Candidates applying through registered posts should forward their application in advance so as to reach the office of the concerned District Backward Classes Welfare Officer by the prescribed last date. Last date for submission of application: Any application submitted after 30.07.2022 will not be considered.

As regards the above three districts, the minimum physical target for the 4 Backward Classes candidates for the Army Pre-selection Training School in each district will be 100. Assigned once a month

Category-wise reservation:
The following reservation ratio will be followed while allotting candidates for career guidance and training regarding pre-selection preparation for eligible candidates from backward classes of the state who want to join the Indian Army.

In respect of Backward Classes, if qualified candidates are not available in any category, candidates from another category will be selected for reserved training.
While selecting the candidates, 30% of seats will be reserved for the local candidates of the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts. In case eligible local candidates are not available, eligible candidates from other districts will be considered for training for those posts.
The training period is 4 months in total and will be residential training. Candidates have to stay in the training center during the training period.
The training is completely free and the candidates will be provided free accommodation and food during this period.
Candidates who are selected for training will be given training related to physical tests and written tests during the training period of 4 months.
One pair of tracksuits, one pair of uniforms required for physical training, and one pair of shoes will be distributed free of charge to the candidates selected for training. Candidates undergoing training will not be given any kind of travel allowance or any other allowance for the training period.

Attendance of candidates during the training period will be maintained by adopting Biometric attendance equipment in the training centers.
80% attendance during the training period is mandatory for the candidates undergoing training.
The certificate will be distributed to the candidates who complete the training.
After receiving such training, the various candidates should submit the information to the welfare officers of the backward classes of the district to be selected for the selected posts.
In case any candidate does not complete the training and the training is cut short, the expenses incurred for the training of such candidate shall be borne by the candidate and his/her father/mother/guardian. The candidate selected for the training will have to give a sealed certificate of Rs.20/- that the training will not be shortened.
Information is wrong for the department. If the candidate is found to be an unqualified/unqualified candidate at any stage, appropriate action will be taken against the candidate as per rules and the cost incurred for training will be recovered from such candidate and his/her parents/guardians.
Scrutiny of the application and submitted documents of the candidates Medical/physical examination will be organized at the designated place based on the district where the candidates have been selected for training and finally the candidates will be selected for training. Its venue, date, time, etc. information will be published later on the departmental website.
As per https://bcwd.karnataka.gov.in candidates appearing for the examination later will not be given any kind of traveling allowance or any other allowance.
